Places to go and things to do
Miles and miles of sandy beaches
Our nearest beach is at Sea Palling. Sea Palling is a seaside village with cafes, pubs, children's
entertainment and a thriving Jet Ski centre. For a quieter more relaxed beach visit the next villages
along, Waxham and Horsey, where colonies of seals can regularly be seen in the water.
Messing about on the river
We are only a short distance from the Norfolk Broads where you can a hire a day boat, with or without sails, and enjoy a relaxing day on the river. Our nearest Broad is Hickling which offers guided boat trips around its abundant wildlife reserve. There are also lots of opportunities for fishermen.
On foot and by bike
We are located just 1 mile from a main cycle route and the quiet country lanes and relatively flat landscape make it a perfect area for cycling. We have information about a large number of local walks and are within a few miles of the Weavers Way footpath route. We are happy to suggest routes and places to stop for lunch on the way.
Norwich
Norwich is our main city and only 35 minutes by car. There is our spectacular cathedral, castle, museums and theatres. For shopaholics there is everything from large department stores and malls, small boutiques, art galleries and craft shops, not forgetting the historic daily market in the centre of the city.

There are so many other places to visit...
The beautiful East Ruston Vicarage Gardens, National Trust properties of Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall
and Horsey Windmill, How Hill Trust Nature Reserve, Bure Valley railway, Wroxham Barns Craft centre...
The list is endless.
