“One should not attend even the end of the world without a good breakfast.”

“One should not attend even the end of the world without a good breakfast.”

That’s a quote from American writer, Robert A Heinlein and something we heartily agree with here at Dairy Barns which is why we’re delighted to be taking part in Breakfast Week between 24th-31st January when we’re all being encouraged to “shake up your wake up”!

Research says that breakfast provides the body and brain with essential fuel after an overnight fast – hence the origins of the word break-fast.  If you don’t eat breakfast you are effectively “running on empty” like to trying to start a car with no petrol!

We’re proud to hold the Visit England Breakfast Award for our Farmhouse Breakfasts and we love to use the very best ingredients from trusted local producers and offer something for all tastes and appetites from homemade waffles through to a traditional Full English.  Here are just some of the recent comments from guests:

breakfast each morning is to die for with a huge choice of cereals, fresh fruit, juices & yogurts etc and of course a beautifully cooked fry up consisting of locally sourced meats

“Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked”

“Breakfast is not something to be rushed here, there are so many delicious things to eat”.
