Cracking Crockery…

We love Emma Bridgewater’s beautiful crockery and use it here at Dairy Barns for our guests’ farmhouse breakfasts. Just recently we treated ourselves to some delightful new plates which make it a real pleasure cooking all that bacon and eggs every morning when we serve our guests with our favourite china. The cheerful designs look stunning laid out on the tables in our old brick barn and often draw compliments from guests who ask where it has come from.   Did you know that Emma Bridgewater lived in Norfolk for a number of years to be nearer her mother who had suffered a head injury after a fall from her horse and although the family later moved back to Oxfordshire they still have a home in Blakeney where they love walking the marshes.

Of course, they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we have to agree – we try to source as much as we can from local producers to offer our guests a true, hearty Norfolk breakfast.
