The Pink Sauna at Sea Palling Beach

The Pink Sauna on Sea Palling beach has become my absolute favourite thing this year — especially now that the winter months have arrived! This cute pink horse trailer has been lovingly converted into the perfect seaside sauna with a woodburning stove which keeps the temperature nice and hot and then adding water for steam is amazing. You’ll find it just over the ramp to the beach, available to book on weekends and for special events throughout the year.

I’ve been both alone and with friends, and every time it feels so welcoming. On moonlit events, there’s even hot chocolate and a firepit to enjoy — the perfect touch after a dip in the sea. There is never any rush or hurry, you are made to feel so relaxed.

The big question is: do you start hot or cold, and end hot or cold? I always begin with a quick swim (well, more of a dip now it’s November!) in the sea with my woolly hat on, then straight into the sauna. I usually go in and out a couple of times during the hour, always finishing warm, relaxed, and cosy in my big coat and fluffy socks.
