"Hannah has been a superstar and has made our wedding here a very special one and the flowers were beautiful."

Mr and Mrs Radcliffe

Our favourite suppliers

We take great pride in offering a true farmhouse breakfast at Dairy Barns and believe in local, fresh, free-range and handcrafted.  There is something for everybody – for those who want something light, we have cereal, bread, yoghurt, fruit and our own homemade waffles.  We do eggs both scrambled and poached and of course that great British favourite – bacon sandwich.  But for those who believe that nothing can beat a Full English to start the day – you can have the works!

We are proud to work with some wonderful local suppliers and we’d like to introduce you to a few:

  • Mr Hewitt, the family butchers in Coltishall

provide all our sausages and bacon (and more eggs too if our own chickens can’t keep up with demand!). Traditional butcher sourcing a wide range of locally farmed meats who have been in business since 1974 so they know what they’re doing and our guests certainly seem to think so too.

  • A G Meale & Son in Stalham

A G Meale provide us with lots of fresh fruit and veg.  Currently, eleven members of the Meale family help to run the business which even has a Pick Your Own too.  Unfortunately, we rarely have time to do that but guests might like to pay a visit and take home some delicious fresh seasonal Norfolk produce.

  • Kate Willcox of Parties & Pickles

Kate makes award-winning jams and marmalades on the family Aga in Heydon, North Norfolk and we just love her delicious ‘Seville Orange Marmalade with Stem Ginger’ which scooped a coveted Silver Medal at the World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival.

  • Groveland Fruit Farms at Bodham

The good folk at Groveland have been making fabulous apple juice for more than 15 years at their family run farm based in North Norfolk from apples grown in their own orchards and pressed by them too.  Our guests love it.

  • Truly Local at Stalham

Truly Local is a super little shop which is run as a “not for profit social enterprise” who only source produce from within a 35 mile radius and choose carefully for quality, freshness and ethical standards.  They provide all sorts of nice things including much of our lovely fresh bread – perfect for toasting with Kate’s special marmalade.   We’re also rather fond of their wonderful chocolate brownies.

  • Adnams of Southwold Tomato Ketchup

Although probably better known by many for their beer and spirits, Adnams also have a Cellar & Kitchen range and we use their fabulous Tomato Ketchup which is fruity with subtle herbs and spices and we think it’s just perfect with a Full English.

If you’re lucky, you may even get eggs straight from our own hens so you can’t get fresher or more local than that!
