A wedding day that hit all the right notes…

Dairy Barns was delighted to play host to Anna and Will’s wedding reception this summer which was featured on the cover of the EDP Weddings supplement.  Anna works for the BBC and Will teaches at Broadland High School are both keen musicians who shared the same trumpet teacher.

They married at St Nicholas Church in nearby Dilham and chose Dairy Barns for their reception saying “it was the only venue we looked at, it was perfect, with rooms for people to stay so you can have family around you all day”.  The Barn looked lovely strung with bunting, their tables named after all Will’s favourite biscuits and made all their own table decorations.  Will’s dad made wooden coasters for the guests and Anna’s sister did the beautiful flowers.  Anna, a fan of the 1950s, chose a short wedding dress, photography was by Karen Fuller and the wedding car was Will’s Fiat 500 which he had been restoring for more than 5 years.

They wanted a fun wedding and it certainly was – with a caricaturist capturing the guests and a jukebox for the evening so guests could choose the songs they liked.  Anna and Will’s first dance was The Ketchup song as they say neither of them can dance and Anna’s mum had sent a card saying “dance like nobody’s watching”.  Guests enjoyed a sausage and mash lunch with cake for pudding and crepes in the evening.  Ann and Will both agreed “the day was a dream”.
