Blue Flag Award for Sea Palling Beach

We are delighted that, despite tough higher standards that our local beach at Sea Palling had retained its Blue Flag in 2015, one of only four awarded in the whole of Norfolk.

A recent survey by the Marine Conservation Society reports that it has excellent water quality and continue to have ‘recommended status’ (their highest grading) . Further information on www.goodbeachguide.co.uk

Additionally, according to the Environment Agency’s website (www.environment-agency.gov.uk/bathingwaters) Palling has been awarded the highest possible water cleanliness rating in 2014 (sampled regularly throughout the season) and has maintained constantly high water quality since 2002. In addtion the European Environment Agency listed Palling’s beach as continuing to be in the top grade, fully complying with the law and guidelines.

So what more can we say other than get your bucket and spade out and come and spend some time on the wonderful sand and paddling (or if you are feeling brave swimming!) in the sea at Sea Palling.  You can walk from the Dairy Barns it will take about 25 minutes on our grass track, only 10 minutes from Willow Farm Cottage.  But if you head into the village early you can park in the charity car park just by the beach for just £1 all day, a great way to enjoy a summers day!
