Winterton Village Walks

On a cold and blustery January day, mum and I went to explore Winterton. It is a coastal village about 15 minutes by car along the coast. They have created a booklet of circular walks in and around the village that incorporate some beautiful countryside, sand dunes and beaches.

We did a 3.5-mile walk which started at the village beach car park, in the summer it would be perfect for spending a day in the area and in the winter months there are lots of seals on the beaches.

There is a nice pub, the Fisherman’s return and Poppies tea rooms. Another option if you are an enthusiastic coastal path walker is to get our local taxi guy, Stripes Express, to drop you at Winterton and walk the Coastal Path back to Sea Palling. I have to say that mum and I were not that ambitious!
